Workbooks
While no book can show you a "cure," workbooks can be good ways to learn and practice healthier coping skills and start to enact changes to your everyday life to improve your ability to cope with and reduce distressing times.
The Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Workbook - Matthew McKay (There are also similar DBT workbooks for specific things like: Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety/Panic/PTSD)
Bodily Harm - Karen Conterio (This one sells itself a bit too much like a "cure" when it's really just a book presenting you with opportunities and ideas that may be really useful... but, it seems in line with the SAFE program and has good reviews.)
